Our company was founded in 1864 as F. Ossenberg & Co. KG, and is now in its fifth generation of family ownership. Since the acquisition by Julius Grefe KG in 1997, we have traded under the name "Ossenberg & Grefe". We are naturally certified in accordance with ISO 9001. The original manufacturing programme for both companies consisted of buckles, rings and hooks for the textile and leather processing sector. Over time, articles for other areas of application were added to the product range. Today, alongside our standard range of products, we specialise in the manufacturing of wire-bending, punching and assembly products for more than 1000 customers from a wide variety of sectors. To this end, our 60-strong team manufacture approximately 500, 000 parts a day over a production area of 5000 m². Thanks to our versatile machining options, in-house tool manufacturing facilities and electroplating equipment, we are able to find quick and cost-effective solutions to complex challenges.

ATC ARMOLOY TECHNOLOGY COATINGS GMBH & CO. KG

In the mid-80s, the company founders became interested in the Armoloy chrome plating process, which originally came from the US. In 1987, the company was founded in Germany with its headquarters and production site in Mosbach and its management in Solms-Oberbiel and Aßlar. The company currently employs 25 people and supplies Germany as well as other countries in Europe. The export share covers approx. 25% and is largely made up of Switzerland, Austria, France, Luxembourg, Spain and Italy. ATC plating is a form of extremely hard, tight, precise, very thin and highly pure chrome plating which is precipitated onto any metal (conditionally excluding magnesium, titanium and aluminium) via a high-energy process. Because this process uses a special technique, it occurs at a low temperature, far below 100 °C. Thus, the structure of the materials to be coated does not change.

We provide various technologies, such as oxidation and anodisation, both colourlessly and in dip dyeing in a continuously available large selection of colours. Our services include partial finishing for aluminium components as a combined process of chromatising and oxidising and anodising, as well as chromatising in yellow and REACH-compliant colourless passivation for aluminium with SurTec 650. Furthermore, our services also include pickling, passivating and electro-polishing stainless steel. At our modern plant, we can process components with dimensions of 2000 mm in length, 600 mm in width and 1000 mm in depth. Strict adherence to delivery dates, flexibility and quality set us apart and form the foundation of our excellent reputation amongst our national and international customers. The EZM Edelstahlzieherei Mark manufactures drawn, sanded and polished bright steel using the cold deformation process and standard profiles and custom profiles according to customer drawings in almost all steel materials. Our high quality products usually end up being used in system and mechanical engineering, the automotive industry and in medical and energy technology. Drum dyeing machines and spring production machines from the brand Proll & Lohmann as well as heat and chemical surface treatment from the brand BAK are manufactured at EZM Edelstahlzieherei Mark's Werdohl plant. Among other things, the EZM metal working and service GmbH makes spindle bearings, straightening machines for round and profile materials with powered straightening rolls as well as custom orders. The innovative combination of heat, blasting, straightening, milling and planing processes at the EZM profile machining plant in Rohr/Thüringen represent a cost-effective alternative able to compete with traditional manufacturing technologies.

The foundation stone for our medium-sized family company was laid down by our two founding company directors Manfred and Thomas Eckardt. In 2002, we celebrated our company's anniversary; 25 years of standing for reliability, good service, continuity and growth. In mid 2001, our Company Director Manfred Eckardt died. Shortly afterwards his son Thomas Eckardt unexpectedly also died, upon which our management changed in mid 2002. Mrs. Beate Eckardt was the new Managing Director of the company from then on (March 2002 until May 2005). Since 1st June 2005, Mr. Axel Eckardt has been the Managing Director of the company. Eckardt & Sohn GmbH and will continue to run the company as before. Eckardt & Sohn operates locally as well as globally. The broad range of our services and our many years of experience mean we can satisfy any customer's specific requests.
