In 1994 Denis HEITZ, a French vet, was confronted with the problem of removing ticks from his four legged patients. He then designed a simple and efficient tick hook, registered a patent and sold it under the O’TOM® then Tick Twister® brands. In 1995 he sold his veterinary practice and set up H3D. The Tick Twister® quickly became a best-seller with over 2 million items sold each year in over 35 countries worldwide. In 2010 H3D launched a new product: BambooStick®, a cotton bud specially designed to clean dogs' ears. Just like the Tick Twister®, the BambooStick® became a worldwide success with millions sold around the world. Located in the Jura, H3D today makes 60 % of its turnover form exports and works with professionals from different sectors: vets, pet shops, pharmacies, outdoor stores, … H3D sells products under its own brand names(Tick Twister® & BambooStick®) and also supplies many distributors and laboratories worldwide. H3D privileges "Made in France" so as to pass on French know-how and reduce distances for transporting our products.
